The laboratory testing consisted of exposing the test panels to a cyclic accelerated weathering environment for 1008 hours (6 weeks) as described in ASTM D5894-21, “Standard Practice for Cyclic Salt Fog/UV Exposure of Painted Metal”. The results achieved the highest Blistering and Rusting grades available.

The SIMIX Salt Test is a standardized corrosion-resistance evaluation designed to measure how effectively SIMIX ceramic coatings protect treated surfaces in harsh, salt-rich environments. In this test, coated and uncoated substrates are exposed to a controlled salt-fog or salt-spray environment that accelerates corrosion, simulating years of exposure to moisture, salinity, and airborne contaminants. Results consistently demonstrate that SIMIX-treated surfaces significantly resist oxidation, corrosion, and material degradation for much longer than untreated surfaces. This performance confirms the coating’s ability to form a durable, protective barrier that limits moisture intrusion and chemical attack—making SIMIX well-suited for HVAC systems, coastal facilities, industrial equipment, and other applications where corrosion protection is critical to performance, longevity, and energy efficiency.
